Career Accomplishments - Coaching

West Monroe High School Powerlifting Teams:

Under Mike's guidance in 1983, West Monroe High School won the first ever LHSPLA State Championship. They duplicated this feat in 1984 and 1985.

Mike also coached the West Monroe High School powerlifting team to National USPF titles in 1984 and 1985.

Mike is currently the Head Football and Powerlifting coach at Caldwell High School. He has resurrected the program at the school and hopes to return it to the prominence that it held during the early 1990's. His 1999 Caldwell team finished in 3^rd place at the LHSPLA State Meet and his 2000 team finished as State Runner-up.

Mike says that the highlight of powerlifting for him is, "Just being able to work with high school kids. Seeing them be successful at something, whether it's being a state champion or just getting a new max".
